ISO 9001 serves as a proof of competence and efficiency of a company. It specifies the minimum requirements for a quality management system an organization has to fulfill in order to provide products and services which meet customer expectations as well as regulatory requirements. BSCI stands for "Business Social Compliance Initiative" and offers companies who wish to build up an ethnical supplying chain a code of conduct. This code is based on the international treaties for the protection of the rights of workers. This comprises following 10 key elements: management practices, documentation, working hours, compensation, child labour, forced labour, freedom of assembly, discrimination, working conditions, health and social services, health and safety at work and environmental aspects. It is a systematic monitoring and qualification system to improve the working conditions of people.

The Oeko-Tex Standard is an independent testing and certification system for textile products at all stages of processing (fibers, yarns, fabrics, tailored end products, including accessories) along the textile value chain. It ensures the consumer that there are no allergic reactions due to chemicals while wearing the clothing.
